Founded in 2003 by René von Kaenel, Yann von Kaenel and Christiane Tripet, Décors Guillochés SA is the culmination of 40 years of work and experience. Currently under the management of Yann von Kaenel, Director, his father René (Chairman) and Julien Toninelli (Jewellery Creation), the company employs about ten people and offers a skilful blend of the traditional and the modern, classicism and innovation.

The company is based at Cernier in the heart of Val-de-Ruz in the canton of Neuchâtel and is among the world’s leaders in manual guilloché work, supplying unique pieces to the most prestigious watchmaking brands.

Materials and parts

Whether working on precious metals (such as grey, yellow, pink or red gold or platinum), on steel or mother of pearl, on watch rotors, dials, case-backs, bridges or stamping tools, to name but a few, Décors Guillochés SA possesses a know-how achieved through unremitting training and follow-up.

Nothing is left to chance, and each product undergoes stringent inspections. In addition, the workshop has a production capacity that enables it to turn out both single pieces and large series orders to the same demanding standard of quality.

The machine base

Décors Guillochés works using the best guilloché machines that have ever been made. These include several Lienhard machines, systematically maintained, modified and adjusted in-house. All machining operations are customised to continuously improve quality of execution and performance.
